WhoDis Child Safety Standards
Published by Dezynum Software Services (OPC) Private Limited for the WhoDis app (com.dezynum.whodis). Last updated 22 October 2026. Draft for review by a lawyer; text in [square brackets] must be filled in.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in WhoDis, without exception. This includes:
- any content that sexualises a minor, including text, links or descriptions;
- grooming: befriending a minor in order to abuse or exploit them, or trying to move a conversation with a minor somewhere else;
- sextortion, trafficking, or any request for sexual content or a meeting from someone who may be a minor;
- sharing, asking for, or pointing to child sexual abuse material anywhere.
Breaking this rule ends a player's access to WhoDis permanently and is reported to the authorities.
2. WhoDis is for adults only
WhoDis is built around hidden identities, so it is for people aged 18 and over.
- On Google Play the app targets only "18 and over", with Play's restriction for users identified as minors.
- Before the first online game the app runs a neutral age check (month and year of birth, without saying which answer is needed). Anyone under 18 cannot play online on that phone.
- There are no profile photos, no image or file sharing, and no voice or video: players chat in text, under a nickname and an avatar from our own set.
- There is no matchmaking with strangers: rooms are joined with a code shared by someone who is playing.
3. Reporting inside the app
- Tap any face in a room and choose Report to tell us about a player. The report sends us the reason and the room's last 50 messages. The reported player is not told who reported them.
- Block hides a face on your phone straight away.
- Choose the reason "Child safety" for anything that may involve a minor; these reports go to the front of our queue.
- You can also write to compliance@dezynum.com at any time, including if you are not a player.
4. What we do
- We review child safety reports first, as soon as possible and within 24 hours.
- When we have actual knowledge of CSAM or of a child at risk, we remove the content and the player at once, ban the player's ID, keep the evidence securely as the law requires, and report it to the relevant authorities.
- We report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and in India to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and the police as Indian law requires (including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and the Information Technology Act, 2000). Where a child is in immediate danger we contact the local emergency services.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests that follow the law.
5. Following the law
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (and its mandatory reporting), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the laws of the countries where WhoDis is available. Our Terms of Service forbid CSAE and our Privacy Policy explains what we keep with a report.
6. Child safety contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is [name], Dezynum Software Services (OPC) Private Limited, [registered address], Gurugram, Haryana, India. Email: compliance@dezynum.com. This contact can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and how we comply with them.
